Miami Springs Montessori School provides a safe, loving environment for children. We accept children from eighteen months to 6 years of age. Our teachers are certified Montessori Teachers. We have consolidated the best of many Montessori Programs, the Panamerican Society, AMS, IMS, etc... As guides we follow each child to insure their development is a natural and uplifting experience that they will always remember. Exposure, exposure, exposure is the key to child development.
We are open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Classes begin 8:30 to 3:00 and Aftercare begins 3:30 to 6:00.
Toddler Room - 18 to 36 Months
The Montessori classroom gives Toddlers the freedom and security to develop cognitively and spiritually. The child's vocabulary grows rapidly and begins to recognize objects in the classroom. Our classroom facilitates their rapidly growing vocabulary, as well as provide lessons in Practical Life that will help develop their dexterity, gross & fine motor skills and most important their ability to focus and concentrate. Ultimately, our goal is to prepare the toddler forth upper level classrooms, that lay the foundation to future development.
3 - 6 Pre-School
Maria Montessori confirmed that the ages from 3 to 6 are the most critical period for nurturing a child's natural curiosity and laying the foundation for all future development. The Montessori Classroom assists the guide with methods of creating experiences, instead of force memorization. Our challenge is that we must model the self-discipline, the vision, the passion and the conscience that is at the heart of true learning and self-discovery for our children.
Kindergarten
The Kindergarten year is the critical component of the three-year Early Childhood Montessori Program. Kindergarten is the year when children's earlier experiences are internalized and reinforced. Should a child leave Montessori before kindergarten, many of their earlier learning experiences may be lost because they are not reinforced or completely understood.
